Earning College
Credit:
The majority of colleges and universities will award course credit for
studies (including teaching practicums and work experience) at the Institute
of Modern Spanish: most as equivalence to Spanish language course work
or study abroad electives. In order for the transfer to take place, a
student must meet with his/her major professor/academic advisor and/or
the registrar's office before participating in our programs. For pre-approval
of studies, most colleges and universities will request course descriptions with
the number of instruction hours and curriculum vitaes of teachers
(available upon request). Upon completion of studies at the Institute
of Modern Spanish, transcripts describing course work and indicating grade(s),
along with a letter from a teacher (if needed), will be sent to the student
and to the registrar's office of his/her home school (a small additional
charge applies). While the Institute of Modern Spanish is happy to assist
any student in the credit transfer process, it is the student's responsibility
to work with the home institute to pre-approve and finalize the credit
transfer.
