The
Institute of Modern Spanish, its faculty and staff shall not be
held liable for any loss, injury, death of persons, damage, accident,
delays or expenses arising from the use of any travel facilities,
accommodations or other services in connection with the programs
provided herein.
The
Institute of Modern Spanish makes every effort to find the best
host family and class situation for each student. If a student
feels the host family or student situations are unsuitable, the
Institute of Modern Spanish's liability is limited to remedying
the situation by finding the student a more suitable situation.
The
host families are provided by the Institute of Modern Spanish
as a service to the student, and neither the school nor the family
shall be held liable for any illness or injury while the student
is studying and/or staying with a host family.
In
case of illness, the Institute of Modern Spanish will direct students
to a physician and/or hospital. Medical expenses are not covered
by the Institute of Modern Spanish. It is recommended that all
students have valid medical insurance and carry a major bank and/or
credit card for emergency expenses.
The
Institute of Modern Spanish reserves the right to change rates
without prior notice and is not responsible for events beyond
its control.
Classes
canceled due to local holidays or weather conditions are not made
up.
There
will be no refunds for students electing to take fewer hours of
class or to discontinue the homestay. 50% refunds for program
payments (excluding registration deposit and services not included
in the program) are made when students cancel in writing one week
before program initiation date.
All
visitors and participants must adhere to and observe local and
family rules and customs, as well as all city, state, and country
laws.
